About
Parenting is hard. Do your best.
Dad Said I Could is a small parenting blog written by a dad who's figuring it out one scraped knee at a time. It started in 2019 as a place to keep the stuff that actually worked — teaching a kid to ride a bike, being "that house" on Halloween, guessing how tall they'll end up.
The whole philosophy fits on a fridge note: get down on the floor, play like crazy, and be your child's favorite toy. Everything here is meant to be practical, honest, and quick to read — because you're busy parenting.
Where we're headed
Alongside the guides, we're starting to test and recommend the gear that earns its place in a real family — bikes, helmets, the things that get dropped, outgrown, and handed down. When we point you toward something, it'll be because we'd hand it to our own kids. See our affiliate disclosure for how that works.
